About

Kenan Doğulu

Born in Istanbul on 31 May 1974, Kenan Doğulu is one of the most consistent voices of modern Turkish pop. He entered the conservatory piano programme aged five, later studying at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles and Istanbul Bilgi University, and plays guitar, piano, flute, drums and saxophone.

Doğulu represented Türkiye at the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 in Helsinki with “Shake It Up Şekerim”, finishing 4th with 163 points. His 2006 album Festival was certified platinum on the strength of the Sezen Aksu co-write “Çakkıdı”, and his discography of nine studio albums spans 1993–2018.

A meticulous live performer, Kenan brings a full band through a catalogue built for dancing: “Çakkıdı”, “Shake It Up”, “Aşkkolik”, “Rütbeni Bileceksin” and newer singles. His London shows regularly sell out weeks in advance.
